Three members of the staff were participating in this project. Job-shadowing in three different special schools in UK took place during this project (Perseid School, Lakeside School, St Piers` School).
During the job-shadowing, the teachers aim was to broaden their knowledge and get practical experience working with similar students and similar study methods as used in Käo Basic School.
Gained knowledge about AAC and autism raised the competency of the staff. Many new methods were introduced and practiced after the project: PECS, sensory profiles and sensory diets, sensory stories and intensive interaction.
Käo Basic School wanted to find long time partners from abroad with whom the partnership could continue even after the project (new methods, students programs etc).
